Background:
ANUBL1 is also named as ZFAND4. The expression of ANUBL1 was specifically upregulated in gastric cancer and it was positively associated with grades of gastric cancer. Moreover, it promoted proliferation of gastric cancer SGC-7901 cells. The mechanism of ANUBL1 upregulation in gastric cancer is that miR-182 suppressed the expression of ANUBL1 through targeting its 3'UTR, and ANUBL1 could downregulate the expression of anti-proliferation-associated miRNAs (miR-148b, miR-375 and miR-182) in SGC-7901 cells. The calculated molecular weight of ANUBL1 is 80 kDa (PMID: 25682742).
