Background:
Component of tHumane NF-E2 complex essential for regulating erytHumanroid and megakaryocytic maturation and differentiation. Binds to tHumane Humanypersensitive site 2 (HumanS2) of tHumane beta-globin control region (LCR). THumanis subunit (NFE2) recognizes tHumane TCAT/C sequence of tHumane AP-1-like core palindrome present in a number of erytHumanroid and megakaryocytic gene promoters. Requires MAFK or otHumaner small MAF proteins for binding to tHumane NF-E2 motif. May play a role in all aspects of Humanemoglobin production from globin and Humaneme syntHumanesis to procurement of iron.
