Vitamin D2 is soluble in ethanol (1:2), ether (1:2), acetone (1:10), and chloroform (1:0.7), and insoluble in water. Decreased activity when exposed to oxygen or light.

Solebol sells vitamin D2 mainly for biochemical research. The clinical drug is a fat-soluble vitamin, which promotes intestinal calcium and phosphorus absorption, helps bone calcification, and is clinically used to prevent and treat rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults. It can be converted from wheat sterol by ultraviolet light.

Appearance: white to yellow crystalline powder, odorless and tasteless. It's not stable in air or sunlight.
