Natural astaxanthin, also known as astaxanthin, is an extremely valuable health raw material that can be used to develop natural, healthy products that enhance immunity, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, eye and brain health, and regulate blood lipids. At present, it is mainly used as raw materials for human advanced health food and medicine; Feed additives for aquaculture (currently mainly salmon, trout and salmon) and poultry farming; Cosmetic additives.
It can significantly improve the immunity of the human body, because of its non-specific combination with skeletal muscle, can effectively remove the free radicals generated by exercise in muscle cells, strengthen aerobic metabolism, so it has a significant anti-fatigue effect.
It is the only carotenoid that can pass the blood-brain barrier and has real anti-aging effect. Effective antioxidant is the basis of all beauty activities. Due to its super antioxidant effect, it can effectively remove wrinkles and anti-aging, sunscreen and whitening, and remove age-caused melasma, which has good effects in preventing and treating age-related macular degeneration and improving retinal function. All of this has been clearly demonstrated in the United States.
The stability and antioxidant activity of synthetic astaxanthin were also lower than that of natural astaxanthin. Because the hydroxyl (OH) at both ends of the astaxanthin molecule can be esterified, its stability is different. Natural astaxanthin exists in more than 90% esterified form, so it is relatively stable, while synthetic astaxanthin exists in a free state, so the stability is different and must be embedded to be stable. Synthetic astaxanthin has only about a quarter of the left-hand structure, so its antioxidant capacity is only about a quarter of the natural.
