DiBAC4(3) is a slow-responding membrane potential probe that enters the depolarized cell and binds to intracellular proteins or membranes, emitting strong fluorescence. Cell depolarization leads to dye influx and fluorescence enhancement. In contrast, cell hyperpolarization resulted in decreased fluorescence.
