Product introduction
The time from venous blood in vitro to complete coagulation is the clotting time, which is a screening test to reflect the activity of coagulation factors in the endogenous coagulation system. Under the action of thrombin, the fibrinogen in the plasma to be tested is converted into fibrin. When the anticoagulant substances in the plasma to be tested increase, the thrombin time will be prolonged accordingly. This kit is used to detect thrombin time in human and animal plasma. Prolonged thrombin time is seen in the presence of heparin or heparin-like anticoagulant, fibrinogen degradation product (FDP) increase, and low (no) fibrinogenemia. A shortened thrombin time was seen in the presence of small clots or calcium ions in the blood sample.
