Lipopolysaccharides from serotype Salmonella enteritidis can be used for cell culture and cell binding applications. It has been used to study the role of inflammation in neuropathic pain and aneurysm progression. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is a characteristic component of the cell wall of Gram-negative bacteria. LPS and its lipid A portion stimulate cells of the natural immune system through toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). This product is sterilized by gamma rays.
