Cy3 dyes have been used to label biomolecules for fluorescence imaging and other fluorescence-based biochemical assays. They are widely used to label peptides, proteins, and oligonucleotides, among others. Cy3 dye has enhanced fluorescence after binding to proteins. This Cy3 dye has two carboxyl groups that can be used as crosslinkers.
