Cyanine 3 azide

Cy3 dyes have been used to label biomolecules for fluorescence imaging and other fluorescence-based biochemical assays. They are widely used to label peptides, proteins, and oligonucleotides, among others. The fluorescence of Cy3 dye is greatly enhanced after binding to proteins. Cy3 azide selectively reacts with alkyne groups.
