Paneth cells are located at the base of the intestinal gland and have a similar morphology to intestinal epithelial cells, forming a cone-shaped shape. They are often grouped in groups of three or five and are arranged side by side. The nucleus is oval shaped and located at the base of the cell. The cytoplasm contains coarse eosinophilic granules, which are stained red by HE staining. Zinc, arginine, and tyrosine are present in the granules of Paneth cells. Someone has used immunohistochemistry to determine the presence of lytic bacteria in its secretory granules, which can digest certain bacteria and have a certain effect on controlling intestinal bacteria. However, the function of paneth cells is not fully understood.
The Solarbio Paneth Cell Stain Kit uses the Lendrum method. Phloxine B can stain paneth cells red, while Mayer hematoxylin can stain cell nucleus blue. This kit is stable in staining, clear in comparison, easy to operate, and suitable for staining paraffin section samples.
This kit is only used in the field of scientific research and is not suitable for clinical diagnosis or other purposes.
