Background | SiHa cells were constructed from in situ tissue samples from a Japanese patient undergoing surgery. Electron microscopy showed that there were typical desmosomes at the junctions of SiHa cells and abundant tensiofilaments in the cytoplasm of SiHa cells. In nude mice, SiHa cells can form low-differentiated epidermoid carcinoma (grade III). The oncogenes PRB and p53 were positive in SiHa cells. |
