Product introduction
β-GC is widely distributed in animals, plants, microorganisms and cultured cells. It catalyzes the hydrolysis of β-glycosidic bonds and has various physiological functions. β-GC hydrolyzates terpenoid aroma precursors and turns the glycosidic bonded state into a free state. To produce fragrance; β-GC is able to hydrolyze safuroside in plants and release HCN, thereby preventing insect feeding. β-GC decompositions p-nitrophenyl-β-D-glucopyranoside to p-nitrophenol, which has a maximum absorption peak at 400nm. The β-GC activity was calculated by measuring the increase rate of absorbance value.
Scope of application
It can be used in biochemical studies. It is a protein with biocatalyst function that can hydrolyze glucosides to glucose and other components. It is the main active component of amygdalase.
