Product introduction:
Thioflavin T is also known as basic yellow 1;2-[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]-3,6-dimethylbenzothiazolium chloride, with the molecular formula C17H19ClN2S, and molecular weight 318.8642.Thioflavin T is a fluorescent dye that binds to β-folding-rich structures such as α-synuclein protofibrils. Once bound, the emission spectrum of Thioflavin T is red-shifted and the fluorescence intensity is enhanced, making it an excellent test for detecting protofibril formation.
Product Usage:
Thioflavin T is a benzothiazole dye that exhibits enhanced fluorescence upon binding to amyloidogenic fibrils and is commonly used for the diagnosis of amyloidogenic fibrils both in vitro and ex vivo.
