Product Introduction:
Phospholipid refers to lipids containing phosphoric acid, belonging to complex lipids. Phospholipids are components of biological membranes and are classified into glycerophospholipids and sphingomyelins. Phospholipids are amphoteric molecules with a hydrophilic nitrogen or phosphorus containing head at one end and a hydrophobic (oleophilic) long hydrocarbyl chain at the other end. Elleder found that phospholipids can be visualized by trivalent iron hematoxylin, which is easier, faster, and more sensitive than DAH.
The kit uses the ferric iron hematoxylin method to stain phospholipids and is suitable for constant cold tissue sections and frozen sections. However, the sample needs to be defatted properly with acetone, and it will stain both phospholipids and nuclei.Note:Product information may be optimized and upgraded.
