Determination of Significance:
The chemical name of ferulic acid is 4-hydroxy-3-methoxycinnamic acid, which is a phenolic acid widely found in plants, and has a high content in Chinese medicinal materials such as ferulic acid, angelica, ligusticum chuanxiong, cimicifuga, and jujube kernel.
Measurement Principle:
Ferulic acid has an absorption peak at 320 nm, and its content can be determined by high-performance liquid chromatography.
