Labeling of experimental animals after grouping is important in the preparation of experiments. In order to distinguish and observe each animal, it must be labeled and numbered. Commonly used marking methods include: dyeing method, hanging method, ear margin clipping hole method, branding method, cage numbering and morphological characteristics marking method. Among them, the dyeing method is the most commonly used and easy to operate. Dyeing method is to use dyes to paint the obvious parts of the animal's body, such as coat, limbs, etc. or use different colors to distinguish. This method is commonly used in mouse and rat models. The colors commonly used for animal marking are yellow, red, black, brown and purple.
