Product introduction

Alcohol Dehydrogenase source: Saccharomyces cerevisiae, protein content: ≥80%, absorbance coefficient: E1% = 14.6 (water, 280nm), pI: 5.4-5.8. Active site: The tetramer contains four identical subunits. The active site of each subunit contains one zinc atom. Each active site also contains two reactive sulfhydryl groups and one histidine residue.Alcohol Dehydrogenase substrate: yeast alcohol dehydrogenase reacts most easily with ethanol, and its reaction activity decreases as the volume of alcohol increases or decreases. The reactivity with branched alcohols and secondary alcohols is also very low.

Scope of application

Inhibitors (compounds that react with free sulfhydryl groups, including n-alkyl maleimide and iodoacetamide). Inhibitors of zinc chelating agents include 1, 10-phenanthroline, 8-hydroxyquinoline, 2,2 '-bipyridine, and thiourea. Substrate analogue inhibitors, including: beta-NAD analogues, purine and pyrimidine derivatives, chloroethanol, and fluoroethanol). It is used for the determination of ethanol content and blood alcohol concentration, clinical diagnosis of diabetes, liver necrosis and alcohol poisoning, determination of decarboxylase, qualitative determination of coenzyme I and reduction of Coenzyme I.

Unit definition

At 25℃, pH8.8, 1 unit of acetaldehyde dehydrogenase can catalyze 1.0μmol of ethanol to acetaldehyde per minute

8.6-9.0
